High School Face-to-Face (F2F) Schedules for 2019-2020

IMPORTANT – Sign up for Clubs & Classes in OTIS opens next month!

RCOA enrolled learners who paid their registration fee within the early-bird discount window (prior to June 1st) are given first priority with a 2 week advance window of opportunity. June 15th, sign-up is open to everyone as they pay their registration fees. Invoices will be sent out August 1st detailing the associated costs for the programs your learner will attend.

RCOA values community! One of the ways we facilitate this is by providing opportunities for face-to-face time among our leaners. This is why we have created a variety of ways to connect, including activities, events, clubs, and classes. Families enjoy the flexibility our programs afford, as it is a build-your-own approach.

Activities – Learners are welcome to attend one, some, or all of the activities in their region (Island or Mainland). There are typically 2-3 of these offered each month. Sign-up is the preceding month.

Events – Learners from both Island and Mainland get together for these ‘Big Ones’. These include a Welcome Day at Capernwray on the Island, a 3-Day year-end retreat, and a formal Grad Ceremony (grade 12 only). Sign-up for these will open several months in advance.

Announcements of which Activities & Events are open for sign-up will come to your email inbox

Clubs – these are a series of sessions providing partial course coverage; a healthy supplement to curriculum studied at home.

Face-to-Face Classes – classes run all year and offer FULL course curriculum under the guidance of an RCOA subject-specialist teacher.

Virtual Face-to-Face Classes – these classes are offered at a set time, either one or two days a week and involve live participation with a teacher and peers.

Clubs & Classes are offered on-site in four communities: Abbotsford & Langley on the Mainland and Duncan & Victoria on the Island. Livestream draws from all regions virtually, via Zoom.

Details of F2F subject offerings for each category can be found on this page of the website https://rcoa.ca/highschool-face-to-face/.

All of this can look quite overwhelming, especially if you are new to our school community! During your consultation, our Admissions Advisors are happy to assist you in determining which options would best suit your family.

We hope to see you face-to-face this Fall!
