Highlights from Abbotsford Community Classes

As you know, the format of our classes changed this spring. Our teachers did an amazing job of transitioning to an online teaching format and the children adapted quickly to Zoom, which was a new communication tool to many of them. Zoom technology was a gift to us! Using Zoom provided unique opportunities for the children to share their home lives with one another as they engaged in show & tell and scavenger hunts. The wonderful community we have developed continued to be evident through the changes. It was a joy to be able to continue to see each others’ faces, pray for each other, hear from each other, and to finish the year in celebration.

The focus in Abbotsford Community Classes during the last term was Language Arts.  Children engaged in author studies, novel readings, and short story units. It was a blessing to see them share projects and dress up as their favourite book character.  The creativity flowed and they designed some amazing creations!

We are sorry to inform you that our Learning Services program is now full for the 2021-2022 school year.  We strive to provide the best possible support for all of our families, and due to an overwhelming response, all of our resources are at capacity.  This means that at this time we are unable to admit any new learners with KPQ or R designations or other learners requiring learning support assistance.

We don't take it lightly that you reached out to us.  We will keep your name on the waitlist in case there are some withdrawals, but we recommend that you seek other arrangements for your Fall programming.
