Mainland Drama Explorations
Grades 1-9 Five-Day Drama Workshop
In this week-long workshop, the group will adventure together through drama creation. Learners will engage in fun developmental drama activities to play with purpose. Along the way, there will be teamwork challenges, imaginary journeys, and collaborative creation of scene work in order to create stories on the theme Journeys. At the end of the week, the group will share pieces of their creative process with families in an open workshop.
Using their imaginations and creative dramatic play to solve problems and tell stories, learners will explore the theme while developing knowledge and skills in improvisation, expressive communication, movement and storytelling. At the end of the week, the group will share pieces of their creative process with families in an open workshop.

Grades 8–12 One-Day Drama Workshop
In this one-day workshop, through a series of drama exercises, participants will grow in their confidence, creative risk-taking, and trust within the group. Learners will develop group skills in teamwork, scene work, and group improvisation plus grow individual students’ physical communication (through facial expression, gesture, movement, eye contact, physicality) and vocal communication (through the use of the voice, intonation, clear articulation). The creative process will involve exploring the theme: Home.
Through group scene work plus personal reflection and observation, we will develop and workshop a rough body of original work and then share about our creative process at the end of the day with families.

Island Outdoor Program
Grades 6-9 Five-Day Outdoor Program
Building on the success of our current grades K-5 and 10-12 outdoor programming, this five-day Spring Break outdoor program in Mill Bay will give grades 6-9 participants an opportunity to experience nature with a passionate Christian instructor as a guide.
